About this edition
A young scientist builds a living man out of dead matter, then flees the room in horror the moment it wakes. Abandoned and alone, the creature teaches itself to speak and read, and comes looking for the maker who owed it everything and gave it nothing. Mary Shelley wrote it at eighteen. This is her first version, the 1818 text — rawer than the one most people know, and it still asks the hardest question there is.
The pair
Frankenstein reads by The Reading Chair.
The velvet chair that keeps your shape all winter.
Order any candle with any book and you pay one shipping charge, not two. They come from different makers, so they still arrive as two parcels.
The book as you have set it above, plus the candle.
